Raw Reflections is the unexpected result of a number of friends pushing Jeff to put his thoughts "on paper". I remember the night so clearly -- Jeff/Jill, Richard/Sharon and Stephanie/Nick we sitting on Jeff's deck on a warm July night just talking. We all commented that we so enjoyed speaking with Jeff because he had a gift for saying the right thing at the right time, for quoting just the right verse from God's Word to provide comfort at a time when we would be experiencing discomfort in a relationship or other situation. Selfishly, we all pushed Jeff to step out and share his gifts with us on a daily basis.
Wouldn't you know it - the list of those that yearned for Jeff's daily writing grew daily/weekly. As time passes, another confidant of Jeff's gently demanded that Jeff publish his devotionals in order to provide greater access to his gift.
It's wonderful to see what has come to pass in countless lives since that night back in July 2007. I'm excited to see how many more lives will be impacted as the devotionals continue to be published.
Grace and Truth and the devotionals have become a large part of my life. They have helped as I have struggled on my journey to find God and the purpose that he has for me in life. I love the fact that I can directly relate to each and every one of them, they speak to my life and the things that are happening in it.
I have read other devotionals from time to time but they never "stuck" they came across as to harsh and did not relate to the things that are happening in my life. Jeff, Jill, Sharon, Richard, Nick and all of the others have discussed subjects that I have or am experiencing. They have reassured me that the feelings I have are sound and that as long as I get back up and keep moving I will in the end win.
I encourage everyone to read these devotionals, they truly grab your heart and hold it.
